Delegation Led by French Consul General in Wuhan Visits ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï

Jean-Yves ROUX, the newly appointed French Consul General in Wuhan, and his party visited ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï on the morning of February 23. Chen Lizhang, Vice President of ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï, and leaders of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges attended the meeting.

Chen Lizhang extended a warm welcome to the Consul General and his party, and thanked the French Consulate General in Wuhan for its strong support of the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï over the years in French cultural and educational exchanges. He introduced the history, operation status, discipline characteristics, talent training, and international strategy of ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï, as well as the co-construction of the Confucius Institute at University of Orleans. He said ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï will continue to promote cooperation with French universities, continuously expand cooperation areas, and make new contributions to enhancing Sino-French friendship and promoting Sino-French cultural and educational exchanges. Jean-Yves ROUX said he hopes to work with ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï to restart Sino-French educational exchanges and cooperation as soon as possible, adding that he will do his best to provide convenience for teachers and students of ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï to visit France for exchanges and study.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged candid views, conducted in-depth exchanges on potential cooperation areas and specific issues, and reached new cooperation consensus. After the meeting, Jean-Yves ROUX and his party visited the French Department at the School of Foreign Languages and met with teachers and students of the French Department.
